The Hong Kong Trade & Development Council (HKTDC) Wine & Spirits Fair 2024 is poised to be one of the highlights of the year for connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts of these widely beloved alcoholic beverages.
Scheduled to take place from November 7 – at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, this event showcases an extensive range of wines, baiju, spirits, sake, sochu and charcuterie from around the globe. With a line-up of star speakers and renowned sommeliers, attendees can expect an enriching experience that not only teases the taste buds, but also deepens their understanding of the beverage industry.
What to Expect
The 16th Hong Kong Fair will bring together more than 600 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions. In addition to exhibitors from Hong Kong and the Mainland China, there are overseas exhibitors from all over the world, including South Africa, France, Italy, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Poland, and the United Kingdom. There will be a notable increase in exhibitors showcasing Chinese baijiu. Also, keep an eye out for Japanese sake and shochu, vodka, brandy, and many more incredible products.
To cater to consumers’ more sophisticated and varying appreciation for wines, this year's Fair offers a more diverse range of wines and spirits from different terroirs to enhance the tasting experience and promote knowledge of wine through a series of special events, including Star Speakers and Sommeliers’ Picks.
Star Speakers
Masters of Wine Debra Meiburg and Jennifer Docherty will share their knowledge on all wine related things – prepare to be schooled on the ways of the grape. Renowned Sommelier Reeze Choi, and Stef Yim (a Hong Kong winemaker in Italy) round out the lineup of guest speakers. This is a must-attend event for any connoisseurs of wine, spirits, Chinese baiju, and Japanese sake.
Sommeliers’ Picks
A curated list of selected Sommeliers’ personal favourite wines will be showcased, highlighting their expert taste. The Fair’s Sommeliers include Arnaud Bardary, Reeze Choi, and Carlito Chiu. When in doubt, follow the leaders!

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote and facilitate international trade for Hong Kong's business community. Its primary mission is to create opportunities for Hong Kong businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to explore global markets and connect with potential partners and customers.
