Best Cold Noodles to Enjoy in Hong Kong This Summer

Best Cold Noodles to Enjoy in Hong Kong This Summer

While there’s nothing we love more than a hot and steaming bowl of noodles, when the temperature goes up, it’s time to swap it in for something more refreshing. Beat the heat and soothe your cravings with some of the best chilled dishes you’ve ever had.

From Tsukemen to Dan Dan noodles, there’s enough variety to suit your taste. Luckily for us, Central is known for serving some of the best cold noodles in town.

Shugetsu

shugetsu hong kongIf you’ve ever wondered what Ramen lovers eat when it's hot, it’s Tsukemen. One of the few places in Hong Kong which specializes in this traditional dish, Shugetsu is the ideal spot to cool down over a nice bowl of beautifully textured noodles, served with a side of broth or sauce. The Spicy Tsukemen (HK$91 – HK$132) as well as the Shugetsu Tsukemen (HK$89 – HK$112) are both signature bites, which are meant to be dipped in their decadent sauces — a match made in ramen heaven.

The white rice noodles come with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce, fresh herbs and pickled vegetables.
