Get ready for a historic showdown as the WSF Men’s and Women’s World Team Championships take place concurrently for the first time from December 9-15 at the Hong Kong Football Club! This prestigious event, held biennially since 1967 for men and 1979 for women, promises thrilling matches featuring top teams, including reigning champions from Egypt.

Tournament Format

The WSF World Team Squash Championships 2024 brings together 26 men's and 23 women's teams, all aiming to challenge Egypt's dominance as the defending champions in both divisions.

The tournament begins with two days of matches, where men's teams are divided into 8 pools and women's teams into 5 pools. Each competing nation fields a team of three players plus one reserve, qualifying teams from the pool stage then progress to the knockout competition. The teams who fail to progress from their groups enter a ‘Monrad’ competition; a multi-match draw format whereby all countries continue to play, win or lose, through to a final finishing position from Friday to Sunday. This unique structure ensures all teams continue competing regardless of earlier results, with each match determining specific finishing positions in the overall rankings.
