LMO Freshly Baked Launches Tastemaker Series: Michelin-Starred Grab-and-Go in Central

Ready to taste the best of Hong Kong—one sandwich & salad at a time?

Hong Kong’s food scene just got a lot more exciting. The Landmark Mandarin Oriental’s LMO Freshly Baked is launching the Tastemaker Series, a bold new collaboration with some of the city’s most celebrated restaurants and bars. Running from May to September 2025, this exclusive series transforms signature flavours from five local icons into grab-and-go delights, all while supporting mental health charity MINDSET.

Michelin Stars and Sips for a Cause

Fresh off the opening of its stylish new LANDMARK Atrium location, LMO Freshly Baked—already famed for its artisanal pastries, hearty sandwiches and soul-warming soups—is raising the bar yet again. Each month, a new partner will debut a series of exclusive sandwiches, pies, salads, or soups, reimagining their acclaimed dishes for Central’s bustling crowd.

The star-studded line-up:

  • Yardbird (May)
  • Bar Leone (June)
  • The Chairman (July)
  • TATE Dining Room (August)
  • Little Bao (September)

Curated by Chef Richard Ekkebus, Director of Culinary Operations & F&B at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, the Tastemaker Series lets Hongkongers sample the city’s best in a quick, accessible format—perfect for lunch breaks, lazy Saturdays, or a decadent desk snack.

First Up: Yardbird

Kicking things off in May, one-Michelin-starred Yardbird brings its modern izakaya magic to the counter. Founded by Matt Abergel and Lindsay Jang, Yardbird is famous for its beak-to-tail chicken skewers and inventive Japanese-inspired fare.

From May 6 to 31, you can get your hands on:

  • Yardbird Caesar Salad (HKD88): Crunchy jako and nori give this classic a Japanese twist.
  • Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich (HKD88): Crispy, tender chicken, shredded cabbage and a sesame-kewpie dressing.
  • Three Yellow Chicken Meatball Soup (HKD58): Yardbird’s signature homemade meatballs in a warming broth with negi and myoga ginger.

Eat Good, Do Good

There’s more to the Tastemaker Series than just world-class eats. For every dish sold, HKD10 goes to MINDSET, the mental health charity of Jardine Matheson Group. Each partnership lasts just four weeks, giving diners a new reason to return every month—and support a worthy cause.
