Covers of Covers: Hong Kong's Local Funk Collective

In the vibrant landscape of Hong Kong’s diverse music scene, Covers of Covers has emerged as a standout band. Known for captivating audiences with a unique blend of international influences and local flavors, it is not often you hear a band carve out a sound that harmoniously fuses Cantopop and American rock much like Hong Kong itself, a global metropolitan city with cultural melting pot of influences.

Having performed at the annual Lan Kwai Fong Summer Beat Fest as part of the LKF Association's "Electric Summer" campaign, we had the opportunity to catch up with the band.

Meet the Band:

What makes this cherished band stand out is a classic Hong Kong narrative: a group of school friends from diverse pan-Asian backgrounds coming together. They juggle day jobs while passionately promoting the local music scene, creating a modern rock fairy tale that unfolds in the vibrant heart of the concrete jungle.
