On the 16th of July, representatives from the leading bars in Asia convened at the Rosewood Hotel to unveil the newly decided 'Asia's 50 Best Bars 2024'. This year's edition includes establishments from 18 cities throughout Asia and encompasses 12 newcomers onto the list. Singapore is leading the charge with 11 bars making the list, while South Korea and Japan are evenly matched, hosting five bars each.

The spotlight, however, is on Bar Leone, a gem from Hong Kong. Clinching first position on the chart from Coa — a title who had maintained top spot the past three years. In total, Hong Kong boasted nine establishments on the rankings, featuring Bar Leone leading at number one, followed by Coa at fourth place, Argo in ninth, The Aubrey at tenth, DarkSide securing the seventeenth slot, The Savory Project at nineteenth, Penicillin at twenty-fourth, Quinary ranked twenty-sixth, and Mostly Harmless at forty-fifth.

The ceremony not only revealed the latest list of distinguished bars, but also presented a collection of coveted country-specific awards. Jigger & Pony in Singapore achieved the title of The Best Bar in Singapore. BKK Social Club in Bangkok took the honor of The Best Bar in Thailand. Bar Benfiddich in Tokyo was named The Best Bar in Japan. Zest from Seoul secured The Best Bar in Korea, presented by Naked Malt. In Taiwan, Vender from Taipei was recognized as The Best Bar. Meanwhile, ZLB23 in Bengaluru stood out as The Best Bar in India.
